Project Overview
The Client
Ben Tuck is a professional British racing driver with experience in the LMGT3 class of the FIA World Endurance Championship, GT and Prototypes as well as representing major manufacturers at events such as the world famous Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Ben’s recent record is impressive. In 2024 Ben took part in his debut 24 Hours of Le Mans with the Proton Competition team and ended the famous race in 4th position of the LMGT3 class. In 2025 he won the 2025 Dubai 24 Hours in the BMW M4 GT3 Evo’s race debut for WRT.
The Project – Branding Design
OMACDesign were given the following brief by Ben’s team:
“We want to rebrand and refresh Ben’s existing logo as part of a wider brand update. It is important to keep our existing royal purple colour but we would also like an option of a monochromatic colourway for branded clothing.”
A call with the team allowed us to establish their likes and dislikes and the keywords they associate with Ben’s brand: performance, professionalism, discipline and achievement. We agreed that the best fit for them would be a logo that was simple, with clean and modern styling.
Once we had settled on a general direction, we came upon the final concept that was approved by Ben and his wider team. The logo chosen was one that would spearhead the wider rebrand by modernising it. It was hand drawn, featuring a bold font and custom curve that was carefully created to represent the racetrack and racing lines that Ben is so focused on.
Alongside the logo itself, we created a miniature brand document detailing how the new logo should be used, the safe zones and minimum distances as well the new colours; complete with all colour codes and the font used for the ‘Ben Tuck Racing’ tag in the variant logo. This also detailed the monochromatic logo option that the team required for merchandise. The brand document allowed the team to take their rebrand forward with the confidence that the logo and colours would be applied effectively and consistently across all their new elements.

The Project – Motorsport Illustration
OMACDesign were given the following brief by Ben’s team:
“We would love to commission a special one off poster to celebrate Ben’s debut at the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans race in 2024. The illustration should be of the Ford Mustang GT3 that he drove to 4th place in his category.”
After a call with the team to establish the exact details of the piece, we set to work illustrating the Mustang. Using reference photos, we painstakingly analysed the car’s livery to ensure it was an exact match to the one featured on the car when it crossed the line in P4 as it had varied throughout the weekend.
The car was drawn in Adobe Illustrator to an incredible level of detail. Using this method allows the art to be scaled to whatever size required thanks to use of vector graphics. As Ben’s team wanted a commemorative poster, we then created the finished piece by designing a matching backdrop on which to place the illustrated car – for this we took elements of the car’s livery and wove them into a background design.
After liaising with Ben’s team to ensure their vision was met OMACDesign giclee printed the poster at a custom size of 597 x 895mm and it was framed for display in Ben’s house.
