Project Overview

The Client
Most Valuable Promotions was founded by Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian in 2021 to aid fighters in building their brand, creating content and promoting themselves. Working to maximise return for their own and partners’ events, MVP have made a name for themselves in boxing by co-promoting all of their fighters’ biggest matches, including Paul vs Tyson and Serrano vs Taylor.

The Project
OMACDesign were given the following brief:

“The MVP website is outdated and unsuitable for the amount of traffic received due to Paul’s increasing number of big ticket fights. A fresh design is required to reinvigorate the brand and make the site more functional.

We need a way to showcase each of our fighters, their achievements and career stats. We need potential partners to easily navigate the talent pool and see at a glance what our fighters have to offer.”

The Design
Our website design solution was bold, strong and modern as this is the basis of the MVP brand and what they wish to portray. Contrasting main colours of black and red were used to reflect strength – the MVP brand aims to have a dominant position in the fighting industry and the colour choices were an extension of this.

To make the website more functional its design was refined to have a sleeker and more minimalistic feel. This made it easier to navigate for both the general public and potential clients, driving engagement with MVP’s purpose and interest in their fighters.

The main ‘hero’ section was lead with quality fight imagery supplied by the brand – this showcased the fighters with minimal distraction from other elements which is in line with the MVP ethos of having fighter talent at the very forefront of everything they promote.

Fighter Profiles
A key part of the brief was to design a way to showcase MVP’s fighters. We chose to design individual web pages for each fighter, displaying clearly their individual talents and career stats. It is extremely important to MVP that all fighters are represented and paid fairly, so having individual pages meant they were each shown in an equal way regardless of them being world champions or newcomers.

Project Overview

Boxing Bullies Logo
As an extension of the project, OMACDesign were also briefed to create a collaborative logo for a landmark partnership between brand Boxing Bullies and the World Boxing Organisation (WBO). The logo needed to be used across various formats and applications.

It was imperative that each brand was equally represented and that the combined logo remained balanced despite the two individual logos being wide on the page. To achieve this we extended the upper part of the Boxing Bullies logo to provide an element under which the WBO counterpart sits, linking the two without compromising the identity of the individual brands by radically changing their appearance or impact.

The combined logo was successfully used across press releases, branded merchandise, boxing rings and Boxing Bullies founder Jake Paul’s social media channels.
