Project Overview
The Client
KultureCity® is the world’s leading nonprofit on sensory accessibility and acceptance for those with invisible disabilities and sensory needs. Founded in 2014 in Birmingham, Alabama, KultureCity® has since expanded to certify more than 6,000 venues and many more events in the USA and the rest of the world.
The Project
As an innovative and continually expanding international nonprofit, KultureCity® have a broad and ever growing selection of design requirements. At OMACDesign we work with them to polish and consistently apply their existing brand, using it to create iterations for new ventures such as their 10th anniversary gala or flagship museum opening. Whether we are designing charity gala events or sponsored triathlon suits for the Ironman World Championships, the project is an ever evolving and eclectic one.
Logo Design
One of our first tasks when contracted by KultureCity® was to polish up their existing brand. This included redrawing their iconic logo to be symmetrical and refined. Continuing from this we created and implemented a complete set of brand guidelines, including new colours, a dedicated font, logo usage and a photographic identity. This is imperative to the brand being applied consistently throughout all their activities around the world.
Initial logo design was just the beginning. With each new event the charity hosts, a whole new identity and logo must be created to give each event its own unique look and feel whilst still being recognisably KultureCity®.
Events
KultureCity® hosts several large annual charity events across the United States, from New York City to Birmingham, Alabama. Each event has its own unique audience, therefore it is branded and styled accordingly. It is our job to make sure each year the standards of the brand and event are upheld and implemented. This involves the design of everything from water bottles and invitations to the large scale signage and screens created to advertise each event. OMACDesign takes pride in ensuring even the smallest details are tied in with the event and brand identity. This is a time consuming and in-depth process that provides an incredible pay-off when the event finally comes together.
As a nonprofit providing an essential service to those in the community who need assistance, the primary function of these events is to raise funds. Maintaining a professional, consistent brand presence inspires confidence and trust in attendees, meaning they are assured that their donations are being used to help those that need it most.
